For alternative ways of getting your image to us, please call and we will be glad to advise.
What size does my image have to be?
We recommend a file size of at least 500kb. However, because we use the latest fractal technology to enlarge images we can make huge enlargements from almost any size with minimum loss of detail. What file formats do you accept?
We accept JPEGs and TIFFs to ensure speed and efficiency of uploading. What is white edge?
If the image you give us to process fills the frame too much, important detail can be lost around the edge when the canvas is stretched over the frame. We would recommend that you choose the white edge option in this instance so as not to lose any important detail. What is Gallery Wrapping?
Gallery wrapping is simply the process in which the canvas is fixed to the frame (stretcher). The canvas is gently but firmly stretched on all sides and wrapped around the edges. Corners are finished by hand to ensure that there are no unsightly edges. What materials do you use?
We use the finest 380gsm 100% natural cotton canvas and print with 12 colour Lucia pigment ink technology. These inks are fade resistant for a minimum of 100 years.
Our stretcher bars are made from first quality, kiln-dried pine fir. Pine Fir is very light, yet extremely hardwearing, and unlike standard pine as used by some other suppliers, is not prone to warping. Our stretchers also incorporate a rounded edge, designed so that the canvas is always elevated away from the stretcher bar, ensuring that there is no unsightly edge or 'ghosting' on the face of the canvas.
The final process is to spray coat with Giclee varnish, used traditionally on Fine Art and photographic prints. Giclee varnish is quite simply the best available. Not only does it enhance the colour of your image beautifully, it also protects it from yellowing, moisture and abrasion.
